Learn to Quilt - Evening Edition (8 Week Course)

Introduction

The beginner Learn to Quilt course is designed to teach you all the foundational skills of quilting! You will learn how to accurately piece by practicing and perfecting your cutting, sewing a 1/4" seam, and pressing. You will also learn how to sandwich, quilt, and bind your project. Colour and design theory will also guide the creative process in this 8 week course.

The Project

As seen in the course photo, the quilt we are making is a Quilted Stash original called Mudder's 9-Patch Garden Quilt. The finished project measures 63" x 63". The pattern is included in the cost of the class, however, fabric and supplies are not included. Students must be able to thread their machines, wind a bobbin and sew a straight line in order to take the class. If you are completely new to sewing, please consider taking my "Learn to Use my Machine" half-day class before signing up for this quilting course.

Required Materials

You will need to bring your sewing machine, foot pedal, power cord, extra sewing machine needles, required tools for your machine, spool(s) of thread, small pair of scissors, rotary cutter, ruler, seam gauge, pins, and a seam ripper.

A list or required materials for the project will be emailed to you after course registration.

Cancellation Policy

• If you cancel more than 2 weeks prior to the class/workshop start date, a full refund will be offered.

• If you cancel within 2 weeks of the class/workshop start date, you will not receive a refund unless your seat can be filled by another participant.

• Store credit or date transfers will not be issued for class/workshop cancellations.

• If The Quilted Stash Ltd. cancels a class/workshop, a full refund will be offered.
